Commissioned Ian Brill’s “Resort” who transformed the historic Pittsburgh Athletic Association in Oakland into a vibrant, immersive light installation. Created from 40 illuminated windows, the work activated the building’s corner along Forbes Avenue and Bigelow Boulevard, bringing color, movement, and a sense of wonder to the surrounding neighborhood. Brill, a Pittsburgh artist and University of Pittsburgh alumnus, uses light, technology, and architectural forms to create interactive environments that invite viewers to experience familiar spaces in unexpected ways

Installation
Installed Tim Okamura’s Onna-Bugeisha: Warriors of Light brought a powerful vision of strength, identity, and resistance to the August Wilson African American Cultural Center in Pittsburgh. Drawing inspiration from the tradition of Japanese female samurai, Okamura imagined a diverse group of women as warriors confronting oppression and injustice. Through large-scale paintings and mixed-media works, he combined classical portraiture with contemporary street-art influences, creating striking images that celebrate resilience, courage, and unity. The exhibition marked Okamura’s first and largest U.S. solo presentation of this body of work.

"Tender Tuirse" at the Robert Richard Smith Gallery explores the heavy fatigue of caregiving through the Irish word tuirse (tiredness). Curation, Installation and Programming
SOFT Launch was an exhibition presented by the International Sculpture Center, bringing together a selected group of artists whose work explored materiality, process, and contemporary approaches to sculpture. The exhibition was juried through AwardForce, which was used to collect and manage artist submissions and support the selection process. The technology also streamlined exhibition administration, including condition reporting, artwork intake, and outgoing shipping. In addition to the exhibition, SOFT Launch included organized public programming that expanded opportunities for audiences to engage with the artists and ideas presented in the exhibition.
Curation, Installation and Programming
Ceramics as Sculpture was an exhibition presented by the International Sculpture Center that examined the expanded possibilities of clay as a sculptural medium. Bringing together artists working across a range of approaches, the exhibition highlighted the ways ceramics can move beyond traditional functional forms to engage with scale, materiality, texture, form, and contemporary sculptural practice. The exhibition process included artist submissions, jury selection, artwork intake and condition reporting, shipping logistics, installation, and related programming designed to support public engagement with the exhibition and its artists.
Installation
The installation of the Titanic exhibition at the Carnegie Science Center involved careful preparation, coordination, and hands-on work to transform the exhibition space into an immersive experience for visitors. The carpentry work included constructing and assembling exhibit walls, platforms, display structures, and other architectural elements that supported the artifacts and interpretive materials. Attention to measurements, alignment, materials, and finish was essential to creating a safe and visually cohesive environment while working within the existing gallery space. The installation process required collaboration with the exhibition team and other trades to ensure that each component was completed accurately and that the finished exhibition communicated the scale, history, and story of the Titanic.
Installation
Installation of student portfolio exhibitions in the CCAC Art Department provide students with an opportunity to present their work in a professional exhibition setting while learning the practical skills of installation and presentation. Exhibitions are often arranged in a salon-style format, with multiple works thoughtfully installed across the gallery walls to create visual relationships between individual pieces and showcase the range of student practices. Through the installation process, students learn how to prepare artwork, measure and organize wall space, properly hang and level work, consider spacing and sightlines, and make decisions about how viewers will experience the exhibition. The process also emphasizes collaboration, problem-solving, and professional presentation, helping students understand that developing a portfolio extends beyond making artwork to include selecting, organizing, and presenting work effectively. In this way, the exhibition becomes both a celebration of student achievement and a hands-on learning experience that prepares students for future gallery, academic, and professional art environments.
Maintenance and Preparation Support
I provided maintenance and art preparation support artist Amanda Parer, known for her monumental illuminated inflatable sculptures such as Intrude. This work involved helping maintain and prepare large-scale inflatable artworks for public presentation, ensuring that the installations remained functional, visually engaging, and safely presented. Working behind the scenes on these projects provided hands-on experience with the practical and technical demands of presenting large-scale contemporary artwork in public spaces.
Artwork Archive Management, Installation
Managed artwork and ephemera from the Robert Richard Smith Collection and coordinated the installation of Caravaggio reproductions and ceramic sculptures by Edward Boehm at the Center for Teaching and Learning at Community College of Allegheny County. This work included the care, organization, handling, and presentation of collection materials within an educational environment, ensuring that the artworks were thoughtfully installed and accessible to students, faculty, and the broader college community.
Installation - Black Excellence exhibition Homewood Brushton
Installed the Black Excellence exhibition at CCAC Homewood-Brushton, coordinating the presentation of more than 250 works of art. The project required careful planning, organization, and hands-on installation to create a cohesive exhibition that honored the breadth and diversity of the artists represented. I managed the logistics of handling, placement, and installation while working to ensure that each artwork was thoughtfully presented and that the overall exhibition created an engaging and meaningful experience for the Homewood-Brushton community.
